This trade was worse than the Laughton one.
Laughton was playing 4C and was on pace for like 20 points maybe.
McMann was a top 6 winger with speed and size, cheap as hell, and on pace for 30 goals. Not getting a 1st for him was the nail in the coffin for Treliving.

If the leafs want to avoid an early rebuild then they need someone else at the helm in the summer time. It cannot be this current management group. I bet Matthews puts up with this mess this year, but he won’t stay through another wasted season & he shouldn’t. Unless you are prepared to let Matthews walk away and start an early rebuild - they need to hire creative hockey execs this summer.

I don't know how needs to hear this but until they Fire Treliving, this isn't going to get better. He did the exact same thing in Calgary - took a playoff team and distroyed it in 2 years. He can't build a hockey team.

For me Craig Berube AND Brad Treliving are a packaged team and both need to go today.
Treliving has come out in defence of their working relationship TWICE this season and has fully supported him.
