Here’s what happens when the meniscus gets detached from the bone…The meniscus no longer works as a shock absorber as it is pushed away from the joint (extrusion). This is why it is important to repair root tears (via @jachahla).

Really comfortable victory for @RoscommonGAA as they beat Down by 1-18 to 0-10. Down never raised a gallop in second half. Rossies in the race for promotion now, which is brilliant. Eddie Nolan, Brian Stack and Enda Smith superb but, overall, an accomplished team performance #GAA
