I accidentally went into my saved videos on my phone and saw the videos i made out of grief to try and save my relationship when my first arrangement ended nearly 1.5 years ago, and it's hard to look back at those videos, watching myself be at the lowest I ever was. The trauma and pain I felt then was insane.. and I lost myself entirely after that broke apart. I promised myself that I'd never sink to that low again, because It broke me, and it took me months of self-love, therapy and resilience to find myself back to at least a place of semi-stability. It's easy to say 'don't attach to companions', and for the most part, you try not too, but when a person is giving you so much joy, and so much energy, it's hard not to attach and not to develop feelings. I let my heart fully invest into someone that couldn't be kind to my feelings, and it's something that I will always remember.. the lessons I learned back then, and how to manage my feelings. Heart break has never been more painful than that day, and it defined me in many many many ways. I am so much stronger and so much more resilient today, and my heart is full of love for people, but I always know deep down that I can never sink to that level again, as it nearly killed me.
