Have you heard that capitalism is absolutely smashing poverty? Have you seen this graph? The line goes down impressively. Capitalism is not perfect, but at least things are going in the right direction. Just give it some more time. Right? WRONG.

@aKunella2 @vir78507 Generally better than people who fawn for US empire and capitalism, it's low-hanging fruit, bot-bot

@Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman England was moving toward ending chattel slavery and telling the colonies to stop westward expansion. The US elites were not going to have that so they made this little war.

I am for bringing the American Empire home; closing all the foreign bases; withdrawing from NATO and all other pointless alliances; dry-docking all the aircraft carriers; grounding all the airlift and amphibious landing capabilities; staying out of other people's business the world over; and maintaining an invincible nuclear deterrent and a Fortress America defense of our coastlines and airspace. That's it. We would be perfectly safe. Could cut the defense budget by $500 billion and end the Forever Wars once and for all.

@DA_Stockman 25th amendment crazy? No. An ideal approach? Also, no An imperfect plan executed today is better than a perfect plan executed tomorrow. Paraphrase of someone who I would never go to dinner with but helped ensure I can speak English. Tell me what you are for. Against is easy.

@Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman Nope, I have a realistic view and I am not a fool and don't suffer fools. I won't believe lies. Sorry if you don't like that but pleasing you is not my mission.

@JohnRad15 @DA_Stockman You have a very pessimistic world view my friend. Try focusing on the positives. The United States is the first society in history founded upon the moral ideas of individual sovereignty and rights based laws. It’s a beautiful thing.

@d1rtworship @AlexCorwin10 @DemonessChara Also, Too bad the d1rtworship guy blocked me, It was a really interesting conversation and I really got into it. To answer his question, Successful Ancap societies include Cospaia, Acadia, Kowloon Walled City, and Tranquilandia. Very odd yet unnotable places, bc they were stable.

@d1rtworship @AlexCorwin10 @DemonessChara Yes because kneecapping the global economy and putting human progress to a sudden halt is an amazing idea I swear communists just want the human race to die, They might cover it up with some humanistic sounding crap but at the core they want us all to die.

@CroesusApprent1 @hannyjewel @xevekiah 1. It's a lie that millions of undoc people are using welfare. 2. The US empire MADE THOSE PEOPLE COME by crushing their home countries. 3. The US oligarchy loves them for depressing wages.

@hannyjewel @xevekiah Tens of millions on welfare that should not be here has an effect. What’s a better system than capitalism that has actually gotten more people out of poverty than systems in the past

@Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman This is not some sort of ambling toward freedom but "imperfect" and walking like a drunken sailor. This is a targeted effort to dominate the world for weatlh extraction by the 0.1% of the world. This is IMPERIALISM -- the process of directed goal-oriented extraction of wealth.

@Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman Who is "we" and when? You talking about the "American Revolution" which was an elite coup against Britain for the US land and human-slave speculator class? Freedom is not a new idea, but dressing it up as "liberty" very carefully so it works for the oligarchy was a bit new.

@Wr47Rhet @DA_Stockman Yes that's why it continues. We had talk of a "peace dividend' with the end of the USSR which was supposedly the "evil empire" and the reason for the huge US military spending, but that turned out to be merely an excuse, not true at all, they US got *more* lethal afterward.

@Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman The US empire is not at all "peaceful trade" --- it's a massively skewed world with the US doing imperialism which is domination by violence.

@DA_Stockman Wishful thinking imo. The peaceful trade that has allowed so much global wealth to be produced is the product of freedom of the navigation of the seas, secured by military force first under Britain and now under the U.S. Navy. In the absence of that, which hegemon do we prefer?

@OleMiss_Rebel83 @Rocinanteismyr1 @DA_Stockman Yes because "free trade" is not free but it's capitalist trade. The 'free trade" for the rich means more profits while they keep the world poor by constantly undermining the people by military / CIA actions.

@Rocinanteismyr1 @OleMiss_Rebel83 @DA_Stockman Give me a break man, the "majority of poor people are fat" is an ugly lie, a prejudicial stereotype, and the working class are overworked and poor, and are getting poorer. This is capitalism causing this, not "fiat currency" this is the rent is high and wages are low.

@OleMiss_Rebel83 @DA_Stockman Today we have fiat money and managed trade resembling corporatism more so than capitalism. Still, we have a society where the majority of poor people are fat. And most of the globe has risen out of poverty. And it could be even better with capitalism.

@vir78507 You know who really died? The people at the hospital on ventilators because of all the power that they used for their little concert caused a blackout and all of the ventilators stop working and people died. Sad.

@vir78507 I mean, he's an actual leftists as far as I know, which makes his baseline of opinions far better than brainwashed people with no class analysis. Anyway, we should have thousands of people like him speaking with dignity and more gravitas.
