If I knew I only had months left to live, in pain and agony without a cure, like Esther, I would sign up to Dignitas.
But I’d much rather have a peaceful death at home in England, surrounded by loved ones, than at a clinic in Switzerland.

It makes no sense to me that we put our pets to sleep at the end of their lives, to prevent unnecessarily prolonged suffering, but deny the same compassion and kindness to our fellow humans.

At my London home in Mayfair, where I've never encountered a proper road crater, they recently shut down all the roads around me for resurfacing.
Why do some councils have money for this, even when it's unnecessary, while others are so woefully underfunded?! #potholes 2/

I don't like kneejerk "us-and-them, London-versus-everywhere else" accusations, but it's hard to argue against the unfairness of these kinds of basic infrastructural inequalities.
The entire country needs decent, drivable - safe! - roads.
