फिरोजाबाद जिले के शिकोहाबाद स्थित नगला बिलौटिया गांव में बीएससी छात्र अतिन कुमार जाटव की मृत्यु अत्यंत दुखद ,चिंताजनक और झकझोर देने वाली घटना है। 16 मई को अतिन को जाति पूछकर बेरहमी से पीटा गया, सार्वजनिक रूप से अपमानित किया गया और मानसिक रूप से इस कदर प्रताड़ित किया गया कि उसने 17 मई को आत्महत्या जैसा कदम उठा लिया। सुसाइड नोट में जिस पीड़ा, बेइज्जती और अन्याय का जिक्र है, वह पूरे समाज और प्रशासन के सामने गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है। एक गरीब दलित परिवार का इकलौता बेटा, जो पढ़ाई के साथ अपने दिव्यांग माता-पिता और छोटी बहन का सहारा था, आज इस दुनिया में नहीं है। यह केवल एक आत्महत्या नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक भेदभाव, जातीय मानसिकता और अमानवीय व्यवहार का भयावह परिणाम प्रतीत होता है। मुख्यमंत्री @myogiadityanath जी, इस घटना में अब तक सभी आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी न होना आपके प्रशासन की कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है। हमारी संवेदनाएँ शोकाकुल परिजनों के साथ हैं। प्रकृति उन्हें इस असीम दुःख को सहने की शक्ति दे। हम @UPGovt से माँग करते हैं कि:- सभी आरोपियों की तत्काल गिरफ्तारी हो।मामले में SC/ST अत्याचार निवारण अधिनियम की कठोर धाराओं के तहत कार्रवाई की जाए।सुसाइड नोट, पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट और अन्य साक्ष्यों के आधार पर निष्पक्ष व त्वरित जांच हो।पीड़ित परिवार को आर्थिक सहायता, सुरक्षा और न्याय सुनिश्चित किया जाए। भीम आर्मी–आजाद समाज पार्टी (कांशीराम) की फिरोजाबाद की टीम घटना के बाद से ही पीड़ितों के साथ मौजूद है।

I hope he gets relief in the Supreme Court

No sir, we have. Unfortunately, many of us were thrown out of our jobs and stopped being counted as part of India’s “press corps” precisely because we asked tough ques to the govt. India still has some of the finest independent journalists doing real journalism and asking difficult ques .. often at the cost of being silenced in more ways than one.
