NEW: Burglary suspects open fire on truck after mistaking Michael Myers mannequin for a passenger in New Orleans Early Saturday morning in New Orleans, a group of suspected car burglars approached a parked Toyota pickup truck. The truck’s owner had placed a mannequin dressed in a Michael Myers mask in the passenger seat to as a deterrent because of previous burglaries. When the suspects opened the door and saw the mannequin, they panicked, and opened fire. Authorities said that nearly 30 rounds were shot into the truck and nearby vehicles. The suspects fled the scene in a silver Nissan Altima. No one was injured.
