@jacelala We refute the Trinity the same way we defend the Godhead. By actually reading the text instead of starting with Nicaea and reading backward.

Mormons never actually refute the trinity using the bible.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we believe in the Godhead. We worship one God - God the Father, the Most High God. Because of our sins, we have to approach the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the great Mediator and our Savior. In addition to scripture, we are taught, guided, and sanctified by the Holy Ghost. So while we do not understand ‘one God’ in terms of one substance or essence like the traditional Trinity, in practice our worship is directed to the Father, through the Son, and by the Holy Ghost, with all 3 working together for the salvation of God the Father’s children. We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three distinct divine persons, perfectly united in will, love, and purpose.

What do you think? Is the age of the earth a primary biblical issue, or, is it a second, or third order issue, that Christians can comfortably agree to disagree on?

@wendelltalks The earth is many thousands or millions of years old or more. The bible NEVER says otherwise. Geneologies have gaps or there would be hundreds of pages of forgotten dead people names.

Elevators used to be manually operated and were especially risky if the operator was tired or inebriated. Now, you just get in, press a button and a modern elevator, if inspected regularly, is extremely safe.

Mormon physiognomy is a real thing. Having grown up in Utah, I can spot a Mormon at 50 yards. I did this on my honeymoon. My wife and I were holding the cruise ship elevator for a couple coming down the hallway and I told my wife "they're Mormons" and she said "how do you know," and I said "by looking at them" and she said "you can't tell if someone is Mormon just by looking at them" and I said "yes I can" and then they got in the elevator and I asked where they were from and they were from Utah and he had just finished his mission.
