@Thee_RealOG @FirstTake @stephenasmith lol, baseball has been surviving for over 100 years without a salary cap.
English

@FirstTake @stephenasmith He’s right as much as I hate to admit it. Baseball can’t survive as is and needs a salary cap. The lockout that’s coming at the end of the year will be long and difficult for all involved but until players accept a cap there won’t be any baseball played
English

"It's bad for the collective whole of baseball. ... The public is going to look at something like this and say, 'Yo! Everybody can't do that.'"
@stephenasmith weighs in on the Dodgers acquiring Tarik Skubal ✍️
English

@FirstTake @stephenasmith So, when the Yankees did the same things in the 70’s and 90’s no one had a problem with it.
But when the Dodgers do it, it’s bad for baseball.
Got it.
English

@UnSportsESPN @EvCoRadio @ESPNLosAngeles Yankees did the same thing in the 70’s and the 90’s, no one had a problem with it. But the Dodgers do it, it’s ruining baseball.

The reality is: THIS IS AWESOME FOR BASEBALL.

Are the Dodgers good or bad for baseball?

@NBA_NewYork That should be Donte’s ring.

BREAKING: NBA Champion Jeremy Sochan has agreed to a one-year deal to sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, per @ShamsCharania.
Best of luck 🧡💙💍

@NYK_Mentality85 But he broke a lot of Knicks records that still stand today.
While with the Knicks he broke a NBA record for most 3pointers made in a Game 7.
There are very good arguments he should be in the top 20.
English

@JohnnyRayderx Nah.
Didn't play enough games or years as a Knick to be considered Top-20.

@NYK_Mentality85 I’m sure Melo isn’t losing sleep because he doesn’t have a ring.
English

And this is why I'll always consider Carmelo Anthony a Denver Nugget more than a New York Knick.
Melo wouldn't wait until the Offseason to sign with New York as a Free Agent and it's why we had to lose Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton and Timofey Mozgov + the 1st Round Draft Pick who turned into Jamal Murray who helped Nikola Jokić win an NBA Championship.
It's why Melo had a Career Losing Record as a Knick: 196-216.
It's why New York missed the Playoffs 4 consecutive years in a row and had losing Records during his last 4 years as a Knick of 37-45, 17-65, 32-50 and 31-51.
It's why the Knicks only had 1 Playoff Series Win during Melo's 7 Years as a Knick.
🚨FOR CARMELO ANTHONY TO QUESTION WHY JALEN BRUNSON GAVE NEW YORK A HOMEGROWN DISCOUNT IN ORDER TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP AND THEN TO SAY "I'M NOT DOING IT".🚨
It lets me know everything I always knew about Carmelo Anthony and it's why I'll never consider him as a Top-10 Knick of All-Time.

Carmelo Anthony on Jalen Brunson leaving roughly $113M on the table: "I'm not doing it." "You can't make $113 million off the court." "I don't know the logic and the thinking behind why he did it." (via Podcast P Show)

@PpollingNumbers @billmaher knows Paramount/CBS will soon own his show. He got to stay good with the new bosses.
English

@esidery Evan, what is Donte’s actual injury?
Its likely a Grade 3 injury.
Unfortunately, Grade 3 term is vague, it could range from a 75% tear to a 100% tear(rupture).
These percentages actually make a big difference in recovery time.
English

@camhashoes @PpollingNumbers Yup, this might be an age war, rather than an ideology war in the party.
English

@PpollingNumbers 81 year old threatening to leave over the “future of the party” lmao
English

@PpollingNumbers The DSA is a symptom of democratic elected officials not fight for their constituents.
The rank and file democrats are tired of push over leadership. They want fighters, not people who give in.

@miguelangelfl @ScopeReport_ Then you would be a dead dumbass.

@ScopeReport_ Whoever recorded this is a Fucking coward! Sorry, but I would definitely RAN HIM TF OVER, before he let loose another piece of brass. Or if I had my piece, I would also definitely emptied my magazine on him.

@KnicksNationCP @bigpodwithshaq He ain’t wrong, it will be another 53 years before the Knicks win another championship.

Shaq says the Knicks got lucky during their championship run:
"If you don't get that tip, it's over."
"If they don't let the 29-point lead go..."

@brucegelin @CharlieWaltonMN There are reasons why both the Warriors and the Hawks gave up on Kuminga.
English

Talent-wise, I would give up Green and Divincenzo for Kuminga. There is already a glut at the guard spot, and I think between Ant, TSJ, Ayo, and Ball, I think they are fine. To add a young player (who fits the Ant-Ball-Jaden timeline) with elite athleticism and talent that can be developed, you pull that trigger (assuming the Hawks are willing). But protecting Donte at all costs seems silly to me.
The only thing about Kuminga is that you wonder if he is really a team guy. Does he kill your locker room in some kind of way? I don’t think there was any real indication of that. Yeah, he probably thinks he’s more than what he is, but that can hopefully be coached. In some ways, it’s a better problem to have than to have a player that doesn’t believe in himself enough.
English

The Wolves have roughly $3.9M in cap space below the second apron, which they are hard-capped at right now. So that means they don't have access to the full $6.06M taxpayer mid-level exception.
The only way the Wolves could straight-up sign Kuminga (or anyone else) to more than roughly $3.9M is if they make a separate trade that clears enough cap space to make it work (such as trading Terrence Shannon's $2.8M for a draft pick or something).
They also cannot receive a player in a sign-and-trade right now because doing so would hard cap them at the first apron, which they are already over.
But if the Wolves shed Donte DiVincenzo's contract and get under the first apron, then — from what I understand — they could orchestrate a sign-and-trade for Kuminga.
Let's say Kuminga signs a deal worth $14.7M this season (the same as Josh Green's contract or slightly less), then they could sign-and-trade Green to Atlanta for Kuminga, I believe.
But I don't get why the Hawks would do that. The Wolves have also made no indication they want to trade DiVincenzo right now.
Maybe there is another path I am unaware of. But from what I can find, I just don't think it is very likely Kuminga signs here unless he is willing to take close to the minimum.
Hoopalo Panda@pandahoopalo
@CharlieWaltonMN Couldn’t agree more Charlie. How likely is Kuminga to the wolves?

How many times and how many ways can this white raisin of a man tell us he's not voting for the left. We get it dude you're a republican. No need for the next 58 monologues.
