This is utter insanity. The Iowa State Student Body President is facing impeachment. And not for failing students, but for who he chose to work with off campus. Let that sink in. Since when do we punish young leaders for engaging in civic life? Since when is freedom of association a crime? Universities should encourage debate and participation - not silence it. And let’s be clear: Iowa State is a regent university, funded by Iowa taxpayers. Public dollars should never support punishing students for lawful political involvement. America was built on freedom: freedom to think, to organize, to speak, and to participate in the political process. That freedom doesn’t end at the campus gates. If we allow this to stand, we’re telling the next generation that some viewpoints are protected and others are targeted. That’s wrong. This is exactly why we must fight to Keep Iowa Free. @dirkchatelain I want to see these routes called in a Dylan run offense. Maybe I’m blind, but some of these slants and crossing patterns is what I’ve been yelling for the last two years and I rarely see them ran.
