@SinoPapist1483 Christianity is never a popular religion in china. It's number is less than the number of muslims there and many Chinese gen y and gen z are more into Taoism and Buddhism.

We should make a movie of Chinese Indonesians who can’t speak a single word in Chinese searching of their mainland relatives There were Indonesian born Chinese who went back to mainland after Bandung conference. So it would have a really strong historical basis but it’s probably politically too sensitive. It could be framed as “family reunion” separated by geopolitics kind of story. It wasn’t anyone fault, everyone is a victim of circumstances. Zhou Enlai’s Bandung speech and subsequent changes in citizenship laws were intended to protect diaspora but who would have expected what came next. We can literally make an epic story about this. Covering clash of identity and seeking one’s root. Excuse my drunk idea

Not sure if related, but I think the greatest difference between the Chinese Tian/Shangdi, and the Abrahamic God, is that Tian doesn't seek personal relationship with humans. He doesn't care if you believe in him or not, there's no reward nor punishment x.com/SPRequiem1/sta…

I suddenly realized the core difference of western (Mediterranean, from Mesopotamia to modern Europe) and Chinese religions/mythology/supernatural universe systems The western system focuses on oracles The Chinese system focuses on divination

One of the funniest things about the Mongol conquest of China was how rapidly the Mongols degenerated racially, spiritually and militarily while residing in China to the point where they couldn't put down local rebellions anymore that they had to rely on local Han militias to put down other Han rebels. This ultimately gave the Chinese the military leverage to overthrow the Yuan Mongols. Mongol commanders on the frontier regularly commented on the lack of fighting spirit among Mongolian garrison troops in China who had degenerated from too much good drink, good food and the company of women that they had become soft.

This movie is truly excellent. It tells the poignant story of Han Chinese from Chaoshan, Guangdong, who went to Southeast Asia to make a living in last century. Generation after generation, these Chinese people, even in the most difficult circumstances, never forgot to teach their children the Chinese language and culture. Although the story takes place in Thailand, it reminds me of the hardships and perseverance of Chinese education in Malaysia over the past hundred years. Today, the whole world is learning Chinese, traditional Chinese culture in Southeast Asia, however, faces another kind of danger—exemplified by the so-called "elite" Chinese in Singapore who have betrayed their own heritage. These people abandon their bloodline and traditions, embrace the decalying Western values, and even adopt the Indian backward practice of eating with their hands. And they think they are superior than others and they are "elite"? What a group of idiots! These people need to be swept into the garbage dump of history!

@lulumain2025 @morris_que14 Ironically it is the Manchu qing dynasty that encourage Han Chinese migration into northeastern china and inner Mongolia now that Han is the majority in both regions with ratio above 80 percent

Ruling is different from fighting. The Chinese excel at ruling and building civilization and the art of bending like a leaf in the wind. When the Chinese cannot repel invaders, they simply go to ground and wait out the storm, all while learning and growing stronger. They couldn’t defeat the Mongols so they simply stop resisting and when the Mongols defeated themselves with their own decadence, the Chinese simply took control over again Same with the Manchus, when defeat was certain for the Ming dynasty, the Chinese simply open the gates and let the Manchus do as they want. The Manchus did quite well, expanded China’s border to Tianshan and improved the economy leading to a population boom. By the early 1900s, the Manchus luck have ran out and the Chinese did as before, they simply removed the last vestiges of Manchu rule. Today it’s back to Han Chinese rule again, no one speaks of the Mongols or the Manchus anymore. It’s like they have faded from history

☸️ 🇨🇳 China has over 30,000+ Buddhist temples spread across the nation and this is an original creation based on existing data. You can see that Buddhism is more prosperous in the coastal south (except Hainan) Where Buddhist temples numbers the least are either in 1. Islamicized regions of Uyghurs or Hui 2. Frontier regions like the Northeast, where Chinese Buddhism just started to spread in the 19th century. 3. Capital city where I assume, is the most "culturally revolutionized" in the past. Let me know if this kind of content would interest you guys, as I research more on the spread of Buddhism!
