@BostonLooper Where I was born and raised, no one would ask you to do it. Etiquette dictated that a man should remove his hat when entering someone’s home, an office, a restaurant, a church etc, as a mark of respect. I understand it happens in some places but it’s a modern abomination. 🙂

Especially as I have heard fair bit about how easy some of these Tour setups are I’m sure people would soon realise when they watch average golfers tackle them that even “easier” Tour setups are miles harder than your average golf courses When a Tour player shoots 64 on a 7,400 yard course, with thickish rough, greens stimping at 12, tucked pins etc it’s not because the course is “easy” it’s because they are insanely good! Most club golfers would do well to get within probs 10 shots of their handicap from exactly the same setup!

Why? After 4 years under Brad l would note the following… - an unrecognisable and dysfunctional game plan - he has lost many senior players - we are not improving, we have little competitive stamina and we are not playing for one another - too many silly selection decisions

@BaronPhilbert I’d be happy if they doubled the subs and halved the membership at our place, but I’m very definitely in the minority. Perhaps elitist but what is the actual purpose of a ‘club’? Full sheets every day, greens studded with pitch marks, and the practice tee shredded can’t be it.
