Aptos tech is honestly impressive. They run ~120 validators distributed globally across 40+ countries, yet still hit ~39 ms block time — even faster than @fogo, which has only 5 validators in a single location and still sits around a ~40 ms limit. Meanwhile, Ethereum L2s like @megaeth can claim ~10 ms by relying on centralized processing — but L2s can’t truly “finalize” faster than the underlying L1. In real congestion, completing a transaction end-to-end on L2 can still take minutes (or longer when things get messy). We’ve been watching @AptosLabs and @AveryChing build an L1 that’s genuinely next-level. If you know any L1 that’s faster than Aptos, drop it in the replies — I might have missed one. Even HyperCore had to evolve: from very high block times → ~200 ms → now ~70–80 ms, still meaningfully slower than Aptos. In the next 5–10 years, if FX and major traditional markets move onchain, we’ll need infrastructure that can actually handle that scale. HyperCore, Somnia, Solana, Aptos, Sui, Sei, Monad, Injective… all these “fast L1s” exist for one reason: mass adoption. What do you think?
