A Massachusetts town just canceled its entire 4th of July fireworks show, parade, and concert due to public safety staffing shortages. Rutland officials say they raised the money for the event, but didn’t have enough police, fire, and EMS staffing to safely hold it.

My kids were presenting PowerPoint reports in class starting in the third grade because thankfully their elemenary school was STEM focused and required laptops or tablets. The young adults that attended are extremely successful now. Teach kids for the future, not the past!

@OnlyInBOS Elementary schools should eliminate 1on1 computer use- back to basics.pen on paper, books with pages. Middle schools - limit computer use. High school - teach responsible use. Do that before the government sets limits on personal phones.

Watertown High School is the first public high school in the country to pilot technology that can basically "pause" student phones during class. Students tap in when they enter class and their phones temporarily lose access to texting, social media, and other distracting apps.
