@UNICEFKenya 🤝 Together, we are committed to having impactful engagements with key stakeholders in securing the rights of every child and ending violence against them.

✅ National Commitments to Ending Violence Against Children (Bogotá Commitments) etc. The meeting fostered meaningful dialogue between civil society and government agencies, identifying strategic areas for collaboration and advocacy to ensure child-focused policies and resources.

The key discussions focused on: ✅ Budgeting for the implementation of Article 53 & 54 of the Constitution of Kenya, in line with the Children Act 2022 ✅ Establishment of the Child Welfare Fund (Section 2(7) of the Children Act 2022) ✅ Budgeting for the Victim Protection Trust

🔹 Strengthening Budget Advocacy for Children’s Rights! 🔹 @JoiningForcesKE in collaboration with the Directorate of Children Services and the National Council of Children Services, today held a high-level consultative meeting to champion budget advocacy for children’s rights.

The Gender Responsive Budgeting is crucial to prioritise the needs of #children through child sensitive budgeting for the effective functioning of child protection structures at all levels; County, Sub-County, Ward, Location and Sub-location and community policing structures.

Happening now: Joining Forces for All Children in Kenya convened a meeting with the duty bearers to discuss #BudgetingForChildren in Kenya. Key issues include Budgeting for the implementation of article 53 and 54 of the Constitution of Kenya in line with the #ChildrenAct2022.

UNICEF @77 had a moment of reflection wt @JoiningForcesKE and other NGOs on #childrights, #childprotection & #uncrc reporting 4 #Kenya. Impact is greater when we join forces 4 children. We welcomed Ms. Salome Beacco @salomebeacco, PS Correctional Facilities to interact with NGOs.
