Happening Today On this #WorldHypertensionDay, @PlanKenya is launching its 3rd phase of the #YoungHealthProgramme, a programme funded by @AstraZeneca that focuses on NCD prevention amongst 10-25 years.

We joined H.E First Lady of Kenya @MamaRachelRuto at @StateHouseKenya today for a high-level #AfricaForwardSummit side event to tackle a timely question: How do we keep kids safe in an AI-driven world? The best answers came from the children: 📢 "We want to explore the digital world without looking over our shoulders." - Grace*, 14 📢 " Teach us how to stay safe online, and include us when you make the rules." - Brian*, 15 @WorldVisionKE, we believe child protection doesn't stop at the school gate or the front door; it extends to every screen, every platform, every digital space our children inhabit. EMPOWERING IMPACT: MWARP STAFF STRENGTHEN CAPACITY THROUGH SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMME WORKSHOP! @Mwarpkenya is participating in a #Sponsorship_Programme workshop facilitated by @PlanKenya , aimed at equipping staff with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively implement and manage the programme. This workshop is designed to deepen staff understanding of the Sponsorship Programme framework, focusing on its core #principles, #objectives, and the critical role it plays in transforming the lives of #children, #families, and #communities. Through interactive sessions, participants are gaining insights into programme design, beneficiary engagement, and the importance of aligning interventions with community needs. A key highlight of the training is its strong emphasis on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Staff are being guided on how to track #progress, measure #impact, and ensure #accountability through data-driven approaches. This includes learning how to collect, analyze, and utilize #data to inform decision-making and improve programme outcomes over time. Additionally, the workshop is strengthening staff capacity in effective programme implementation, ensuring that all activities are carried out with #efficiency, #transparency, and in line with best practices. Yesterday marked the International Day of Girls in ICT, and we wrapped it up in the best way possible with a powerful 3-day #DigiKenhackathon in partnership with @PlanKenya, @UNEP, @unwomenkenya, @ACTSNET, @StrathU and @Microsoft.

Building Safer Spaces: MWARP Kicks Off Intensive Safeguarding Training! Today marked the beginning of a transformative 4-day safeguarding training for @Mwarpkenya , facilitated by @PlanKenya . Day one laid a strong foundation by focusing on critical #safeguarding pillars. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on safeguarding and #childprotection, exploring practical ways to prevent #harm, respond to #risks, and uphold the #rights and dignity of children and vulnerable populations in every aspect of our work. The session also covered Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (PSHEA), equipping participants with the knowledge to #identify, #report, and #address misconduct while promoting a culture of zero #tolerance and #accountability within the organization and communities. In addition, the training emphasized #ethical communication, highlighting the importance of responsible #storytelling, informed #consent, and protecting the #identity and #dignity of project participants when sharing impact stories. This was complemented by a session on safe programming, where participants examined how to design and implement #projects that proactively minimize risks and prioritize the well-being of all stakeholders. As the training progresses over the next few days, MWARP continues to reaffirm its commitment to creating safer environments and strengthening internal systems that #protect and #empower the communities it serves. #MWARPImpact #PSHEA #EthicalCommunication #PSHEA
