Last night at 23:49 Engines 2, 7, 11, Ladder 3, The Rescue and BC1 were dispatched to 5 Hughes St for a Structure Fire. Engine 2 signed off with smoke showing from floor 2 and the rear of a 2 story split level ranch and began stretching a line. While Stretching E2 then reported..

One New Bedford firefighter injured at a fire in a mill building on David St. Deputy Chief says this building is abandoned and boarded up, making conditions a bit more challenging - and hot inside. The firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. @wpri12
