@johnywrites 💯meaning educ is a complex interactive process rather than merely transactional. This is important when thinking abt using genAI in educ. Those who think AI will replace teachers see educ as transactional, thinking of AI as an affordance means seeing educ as interactional.

Yes, An educational approach obsessed with knowledge(or long term memory) for measurement's sake misses the point entirely. "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure" (Goodhart’s Law)
Alfie Kohn@alfiekohn

"Learning should be seen as a qualitative change in a person's way of seeing, experiencing, understanding, conceptualizing something in the real world - rather than as a quantitative change in the amount of knowledge someone possesses." -Paul Ramsden (Australian educator)

I am once again begging for better integration of institutional logins for literature searches and journal indexes. Putting my wish for Pubmed to be able to single click check my credentials and allow full text access into the universe!

@JonLimMD Ok this definitely doesn't replace the croissants and breakfast tacos, but my last block on service the Costco peaches were so perfect that they made a frequent appearance in our team room

New jobs, life changes, and a pandemic made turning this scholarly into a challenge, but we ultimately found a home for our project. It was an endeavor that allowed us to stay in touch after chief year and so fun to write up together. Hope our work can be helpful to others.
