While the official swearing-in doesn’t happen until Wednesday, work has already started to build a stronger Edmonton. That includes having one-on-one meetings with each member of our new Council.
So far I’ve had the chance to meet with @kerentangyeg, @JonMorganYEG, @aaronpaquette, @joannewrightyeg, and @michaeljanz.
Our conversations covered a number of areas including the infrastructure needs to keep up with a growing city, safety, affordability, economic development, collaboration as a Council, and more.
One-on-ones continue tomorrow and I’m hoping to have all the first one-on-ones wrapped up before Wednesday. In order to address the needs of Edmontonians, these type of regular check-ins will be critical.
We won’t always agree on every issue but the more we engage each other, the more likely we can find common ground to help best serve Edmontonians.
