The inability of California to conduct trustworthy elections is a GLOBAL EMBARRASSMENT.
In the Los Angeles mayoral primary, embattled incumbent Karen Bass scraped through to the November runoff with just 35% of the vote.
On election night, Spencer Pratt held a large lead over third-place Nithya Raman. The election night photos below say it all.
But over the last WEEK, Pratt has dropped from 30% to 26%, while Raman has jumped from 20% to 27%. This happened as HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of votes were counted AFTER Election Day.
I feel sorry for Spencer Pratt, his family, and his supporters.
This should NEVER be allowed to happen again.

If the count ended today, Raman would advance to the November runoff against Mayor @MayorOfLA. On election night, Pratt led Raman by about 40,000 votes—roughly a 10-point advantage. As of tonight, Raman now leads Pratt by about 3,100 votes, a net swing of more than 43,000 votes since Tuesday.
