@Andrew___Baker Yep any packages requiring Fortran or C++ compilers were super difficult for me. I tried fixing paths in the Makevars file but a clean reinstall was the only thing that finally worked for me.

An unserious, name-calling response. Multiple category errors in one tweet. But it’s coming from a place of feeling attacked bc she published an essay on progressive FP that’s been getting criticism, including by progressives. Ironically, I’ve neither read nor critiqued it

@dandekadt @ryancbriggs Yeah what strike me as unethical about this is that there's presumably only so much labor demand--only so many departments are hiring, etc. So it's not like you're just randomly giving away bed nets; you're also randomly taking them away.
