@henrywinter I would much rather Solak did none of what you are suggesting. He can sell. Enough is enough. His bad ownership over the past 4 years needs to end. This has all happened under his watch.

Southampton have to go into full Mea Culpa mode. Written reasons into Spygate are so damning. “Junior members of staff were put under pressure to carry out activities which they felt were, at the least, morally wrong.” Shameful. No more arrogance, no more passive-aggressive statements. Just front up. Club rightly and widely vilified for the conduct of some within over Spygate and for the inept handling of the fall-out. Only when Tonda Eckert goes can the rebuilding of a damaged reputation begin. Only when the owner Dragan Solak addresses a fans’ forum, takes fans’ questions, and also address widespread external criticism can any trust or respect begin to return. Club cannot put CEO Phil Parsons up for interview following his misguided statement on the day of the appeal. He’s damaged. Solak has to talk: to restore some faith amongst shocked staff; to persuade those fans thinking of not renewing season tickets or memberships to give them another chance; to give angry fans hope that their club has someone competent at the helm of a listing ship; and perhaps to dissuade some players from jumping ship. Also, from a commercial perspective, Solak has to reassure sponsors: 19 partners, including a bank, law company and GPS-tracking company and 13 regional partners who may, understandably, worry about the damage to the club and to themselves by association. It's a long road back for Saints and it has to start with Solak leading the way. #SaintsFC

@MikeJudges1 Agreed. Leo’s decision making is terrible atm. He sometimes needs to play an early cross rather than waiting to shoot. THB, Manning and Bree have all been excellent.

Not sure it’s a controversial take to say I’d have THB as my player of the season. Leo was the fave for so long but his level has dropped off dramatically in the run in. Conversely THB has been so consistent post Still & lead from the front at the critical stage. #Saintsfc

@SaintsExtra @WeAreTheOverlap I have some sympathy. He wasn’t the right choice by the club. The players were not receptive to his ideas. Changing the keeper and getting a target man has changed how we play. Going back to Bazunu took us back to Martin ball. The players need to look at themselves as well.

@Shaunsaint1976 @bensfc4 Agreed. He’s like Che Adam’s in his strength and holdup play. Would love to see him and Archer start at Sheffield Wednesday. We have a busy schedule so getting players minutes and confidence is vital.

@happyhoppy66 Agreed, in Perez’s defence he is much better coming off his line and a vocal leader. I much prefer him to Baz for the overall team balance. Not sure we sign him permanently but he is an upgrade on Baz.

@AlfieHouseEcho Yes good move for everyone. We have Bree back to cover. This seasons over let’s start planning to bring in a leader who will battle and has experience at this level. With the new financial restrictions next season this makes sense as we are not going up.

@SaintsExtra Sell players. Get a smaller squad and give opportunities to the youth. The season is done we need to build a new core and I want that to come from academy.

@AlfieHouseEcho That’s not true. We have needed a striker we can hit with crosses all season. We play with wing backs or wingers to get crosses into the box have a 5”10 striker on the end of them hasn’t worked. If we play Arma we need to play him in behind down the channels.

Asked Tonda Eckert if he was happy with system: "I liked the energy that we put on the pitch. The truth is that we always need to balance the capacity to compete physically, so if you take some size out the back, you might have to add a little bit of size up front." #SaintsFC
