This is pure evil. Ansar Younis, 41, raped an unconscious woman in Sheffield city centre while four young girls tried to stop him. When he ignored them, they filmed the attack and made sure he couldn’t walk free. He’s now been jailed for 9 years. Those girls are heroes. This man is a monster. Justice served but it should never have happened.

When a politician tells you they're not going to call an election, they're calling an election. He's got 6 weeks to carry on with his popularity building tour whilst parliament is in recess. He'll call it as soon as it finishes. He then has another 60 days to self promote without the scrutiny of PMQs on the election campaign. He knows he won't get the landslide of 2024, he doesn't need it. He just needs his own mandate and he's going to bet on having enough of a majority to get it.
