I’ve finally made peace with politics. Walking away from the anger, grievance and permanent outrage of the right made me realise how little of it was ever about building a better country. Andy Burnham has reminded me that politics can still be decent, serious and hopeful. I’m backing Burnham and Labour because I’d rather move Britain forward than spend every day being told who to hate. Some people aren’t ready to let go of the anger yet. I was once in that place myself. 🌹
