All countries on earth can't agree to solve basic problems but SOMEHOW they all agreed to ban people from exploring Antarctica. And I'm supposed to believe that because scientists there are studying penguins and layers of ice? OK bro.

I played Division II ball. All-American. All-Decade. I played with guys who transferred from D1 schools and they all said the same thing — the talent is better than why they thought it would be. So when I see kids say, “I’ll go D2, get some film, then transfer up to D1…” I just laugh. Division II isn’t JV, it’s not JUCO. To think you’ll make a pitstop there and dip is crazy. Upper-tier D2 is full of grown men. 22–23 years old (now a days probably older). Four to five years deep in real strength programs. Strong. Fast. Violent. Many of them were D1 talent who were late bloomers, undersized at 17, or just overlooked. The gap between high-level D2 and lower-level D1? Razor thin. Sometimes nonexistent. When I was coaching at UL I was shocked at how terrible some schools we played were (NMSU, TXState, etc). Not all that glitters is gold.

Guys can party until 4 AM before a game, use drugs daily, abuse their girlfriends, and neglect fatherhood without media criticism. First off I want to thank God for giving me the ability to play baseball. Second I want to thank my parents for all they have done for me, and my coaches for pushing me. With that being said I am committed to play baseball at Florence Darlington Technical College!

@Brock_Tobin07 That’s fair but I feel that will go away after this year or the next. All the COVID/redshirt guys will be out of elig., and it would be nice to see jt return to how it was. No more of the 25-26 year olds in college sports

@JonathanBarham2 I totally agree with you, it’s the normal now though. When you have college guys that are 25-26 playing they see that.

What is with the glorification of HS athletes choosing to reclass? Oh you didn’t get the offers you felt you deserve or wanted? Yeah let’s just reclass and then we’ll be more physically mature than the rest of our competition, surely we’ll get those offers now….

19-20 years olds playing HS sports as if this is normal and then we congratulate them on their success as if it’s not expected.
