A jailed Albanian drug dealer who took pictures of himself surrounded by £250,000 in cash has been allowed to remain in the UK. Our immigration laws and tribunal system are a joke.

Sadeq Nikzad came here illegally. He applied for asylum. He asked for our kindness. I can’t find definitive information, but I assume that as an asylum seeker, the British taxpayer housed and fed him. Then he brutally raped a child in a town centre in broad daylight. Enough.

I cannot think of a better way of marking the birth date of the sublime Stan Laurel (who was born on this day in 1890) than by posting a clip of him and Oliver Hardy laughing their socks off. This is from a short they made in 1930 called “Blotto” and is absolute gold, IMHO.

DO THE FRENCH HATE US? "France blocking Britain from EU massive defence fund" – after Starmer gave them an extra 12 YEARS access to British fishing waters A strong PM would terminate that deal, today. Yet there's more chance of hell freezing over! telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

It’s time to hang up the uniform after nearly 32 years; today is my last day in the Royal Navy. I joined the Royal Navy to see the world and I’ve certainly done that 1/

⚡️🚨‼️Well done @pritipatel for picking up on this re. the Chagos scandal… The day after Starmer and Lammy gave the sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, the Mauritian and Russian governments signed an agreement on agriculture, fisheries and “marine research”. There is absolutely now way that those two government negotiated and signed that agreement in one day. They’ve been cooking it up covertly between them for months, which, in itself, tells you it’s dodgy. Given Starmer and Lammy have given Mauritius full sovereignty over “the land and territorial sea of Diego Garcia, including the seabed and subsoil… including fisheries… [and] the marine environment” this agreement with Russia potentially allows Russia access to the sea around the base on Diego Garcia, the very same base that Starmer told you he’d secured. Below is a screenshot from Google maps of the island so that you can see just how vulnerable to Russian surveillance this vital base now is. At best, Starmer and Lammy are guilty of stunning ineptitude, at worst, they’ve been deliberately aiding a foreign, hostile power. Which is it Prime Minister? There’s also the resource angle. Don’t try to tell me that the Russians won’t now start harvesting the fish and mineral resources in and under the 544,000 square kilometres of sea that were, until Starmer’s deal, ours. What environmental damage will that cause and what resources have we lost. What with this and Starmer’s appalling deal with the EU, it’s impossible to believe that this government cares a jot about the UK and the interests of the British people.

@JohnMcHugh1878 @Rod__Mason @PaulRChase It was. We had a huge fleet and prosperous ports and coastal communities. Fishmongers were common in every town and city. The EEC decommissioned it and the boats were broken up in Denmark. I remember it well.

MUST READ STATEMENT FROM LUCY CONNOLLY'S HUSBAND RAYMOND AFTER SHE REMAINS LOCKED UP FOR ONE TWEET I am heartbroken that my wife Lucy’s appeal was not upheld by the Court of Appeal. It feels shocking and unfair. The 284 days of separation have been very hard, particularly on our twelve-year-old girl. Lucy posted one nasty tweet when she was upset and angry about three little girls who were brutally murdered in Southport. She realised the tweet was wrong and deleted it within four hours. That did not mean Lucy was a “far right thug” as Prime Minister Keir Starmer claimed My wife Lucy is a good person and not a racist. As a childminder she took care of small children of African and Asian heritage; they loved Lucy as she loved them. My wife has paid a very high price for making a mistake and today the court has shown her no mercy. Lucy got more time in jail for one tweet than some paedophiles and domestic abusers get. I think the system wanted to make an example of Lucy so other people would be scared to say things about immigration. This is not the British way. Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood says she will release 40,000 prisoners, some of them dangerous men on tag. Lucy has not been allowed out on tag and she has been denied leave to see our child who is struggling. Today, the Court had the opportunity to reduce her cruelly long and disproportionate sentence, but they refused. That feels like two-tier justice. The British people know all this is not right. They have given an amazing £81,000 so far to Lucy's crowdfunder. Despite today’s upsetting setback, Lucy gets courage rom everyone’s kind support. Lucy and me are so grateful to our fantastic legal team, led by Adam King KC. And to the Free Speech Union for their incredible support and to democracythree who ran our crowdfunder free of charge. We also thank Allison Pearson of the Daily Telegraph and Dan Wootton of Outspoken for telling people about the real Lucy Connolly. I also want to thank our family, our brilliant friends who rallied round. And the thousands of strangers who sent emails and cards of support since this nightmare began last July. We will continue to pursue every possible avenue to seek justice and to bring Lucy home to us. A Crowdunder is launched today: Please support Lucy here: democracythree.org/helplucyconnol…

Long struck by timing of this chart - YouGov long running tracker on Brexit in hindsight being “right or wrong” and what prompted apparent trend break out of 40ish % either way in June 2022… Theory: Half term. first time mass holiday making to EU restarted post Brexit/pandemic

After having been alerted that the deep state is spying on me through mercenary spyware, I've been feeling like there is someone standing in the room with me at all times. Now, I'm not naive: exposing the wicked ways of the establishment is quite literally at the core of my mission and I've faced many difficulties as a result; but it's a really scary feeling to know that people who want to hurt me have been able to look at me and my family, listen to my conversations and go through all of my private data for God knows how long, without me knowing. It's scary on both a personal and societal level, that people like me and therefore indirectly people who share my views, are being spied on as if we're literal terrorists. It confirms what we already knew: the idea of ''The Free West'' is truly an illusion.
