Profundamente triste com a trágica queda de um avião em Vinhedo. Meus pensamentos estão com as famílias das vítimas e com os moradores da região. O Reino Unido se solidariza com o Brasil neste momento de dor.

After a very fruitful lunch and conversation with the Board of the UK/Paraguay Chamber of Commerce, I was given the chance to tour around the amazing @CONMEBOL museum, where I got the chance to learn more about the history of football in Paraguay.

Later that day, journalists from @5diasPY gave me a tour of their studios before going live on an interview regarding trade between 🇵🇾🇬🇧.

Today I met with @OscarLlamosas, the finance minister of Paraguay, to learn about the macroeconomic performance of his country in the region and the significance of collaboration with nations like the UK. Thank you for the wonderful chance to talk about such relevant topics

And since no working day in Paraguay can end without a thrilling football match, we enjoyed a Copa Libertadores match between the teams of Cerro Porteño and Palmeiras. Still much work to be done tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Near the end of a promising day of work, I visited the La Costa Medical Centre, the leading private hospital that just purchased a @CRM Surgical Robot distributed through @DelecUruguay, this device helps surgeons and hospitals to evolve how surgery is performed across the world

Yesterday was a pretty busy but incredibly productive day in Asuncion. Met with the Country Director of @Biogenetics_Py at @UKinParaguay, distributor of genetics from @AB_Europe to the region, where we discussed how british companies can help develop the animal genetics sector.

Visiting @ATOMEEnergy green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Villeta and prospecting about the boost in clean energy coming soon from what will be the largest UK investment in Latin America in this space with CEO Peter Levine 🇬🇧🇵🇾
