@GMB the NI contribution uplifts didn’t just affect ‘the fat cats’ in the private sector Kevin is sneering at, but has hugely negatively affected the charity sector. The third sector is constantly ignored and undervalued.

I'm of a very small minority here, but I don't understand the desire to extend the stadium. Unless we actually won something or were consistently challenging for Europe, there's no chance we'd fill above what we have. Not discrediting our fans but just don't understand it

@BBCPolitics In the charity sector only NLW/RLW is increasingly but for vast majority of the rest of workers no pay rises. In fact uplift in NLW/RLW and NIC rises is leading to redundancies.

@GMB I wish when commentators say wages are rising faster than inflation they caveat that with the fact in the charity sector they are not. In fact no pay rises for most and redundancies because of NIC increases.

Sir Ian Bauckham, the chief regulator of Ofqual’s statement that Ofqual won’t offer any mitigation for pupils severely affected by RAAC is a disgrace. An out of touch, lazy, heartless approach. Had his child endured what these pupils have, absolutely no doubt, different outcome.

In this new parliament there are now as many state educated Sacred Heart Girls as there are old Etonian boys. I’m proud to be an Education Minister in a Labour Government that better reflects the country and that will focus on breaking down the barriers to opportunity for all.

The Tories chose not to have a King’s Speech debate on education. So today, we've tabled one for them. They either don’t want to stand by their record or they don’t care about our young people’s futures. Or both. Labour will put education back at the heart of national life.
