@DavoustBaldPate @Primary_Pianist @BradysOpa As far as I am concerned, I just read another A.I. post from committee.

Sola Scriptura isn't a teaching of His Church. But any teaching of His Church cannot violate the Word of God in the Bible. Here's why the Mormon practices aren't Christian or Biblical:
Mosaic Law tithing was for a tenth of agricultural goods. Not 10% off the top like Mormons demand to go to Mormon heaven. Christians are to give cheerfully and without compulsion. That Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
The Word of Wisdom forbids food and drink, which is directly refuted by Jesus (Mark 7:18–19) and is an indicator of a false prophet (1 Timothy 4:1–5). Mormons can't enter their silly temples if they violate the Word of Wisdom as they're unclean. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
Paul does condemn Baptism for the dead (1 Corinthians 15:29). He mocks it because doing it implies the Resurrection will not happen. And no apostle ever taught it. Mormons claim they're the 'restored' Church that Jesus founded, but you ask them where that Church ever taught or performed baptism for the dead and their eyes go crossed. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
Christian Apostles were with Jesus from the beginning of his ministry and/or witnessed the Risen Christ. No Mormon apostle meets those qualifications. Mormon apostles are frauds. Apostolic authority passed to the bishops and continues to this day and Mormons don't have that either. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
Paul spoke of different degrees of glory for resurrected bodies, not three different heavens. Smith invented the word 'telestial' for his false teachings of three different heavens. That Mormonism has to twist something into a false interpretation and then that false interpretation exists nowhere else in scripture or the Church is an obvious sign that is it false. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
Jesus said there is no marriage in Heaven. God. Said. There. Is. No. Marriage. In. Heaven. It is a slam dunk and Mormons pushing 'eternal marriage' have no biblical basis and use it as emotional blackmail against members. It's 'til death do we part' as per the Bible and the Church. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
Biblical tests for Joseph Smith include tests of a false prophet as per Deuteronomy 18:20–22. Smith made numerous false prophecies in the name of the Lord (temple built in Independence MS (never happened), David W. Patten serving a mission (he died), treasure in Salem MA (Trailer Park Boys episode) and many others. Then he leads people to believe his god the father is an exalted, created man which is not the Father of the Bible. Fails Deuteronomy 13:1–5. Then he used his claim as a prophet for adultery and wealth (Matthew 7:15–20). Joseph Smith is a false prophet and all his fruits are rotten. Another Mormon heresy fails biblical and Church discernment.
God speaks to us through the Bible and His Church. He doesn't change so his Word does not change either. For you to suggest His Word is insufficient is to put a limit on Him and that is not the God of Christianity.

@DavoustBaldPate @Primary_Pianist @BradysOpa I, as temple attending Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have heard each of your arguments and many, many more. Identify yourself, but your Jason Alexander.
English

@DavoustBaldPate Oh, I do like the comparison to The Hobbit.
English

@DavoustBaldPate So, I am going to leave this be, unless you have a valid argument.
English

@DavoustBaldPate @nikiped1aV2 Anyone who can be honest with themselves will agree that is The Adversary, Lucifer, The Son of the Morning, the Devil stirs up mean claims.
English

@nikiped1aV2 Is the Trinity in the room with you right now?
English

@DavoustBaldPate @nikiped1aV2 Critical put downs leveled at creeds across the World is not what the Trinity, Allah, or the LDS three separate beings would approve.
English

@DavoustBaldPate @nikiped1aV2 I attend my temple up to five days weekly because I allow others to believe what they desire.
English

@DavoustBaldPate @nikiped1aV2 I won't criticize billions of people for believing in the Holy Trinity.
English

@DavoustBaldPate I have another point. Ricky Danite is a picture of Jason Alexander, from Cheers, Hercules, and Pretty Woman among others. I use my real name and recent photo.
English

@DavoustBaldPate @greatlakessaint Your claim that I don't believe in Jesus Christ is in and of itself most unchristian. In the end, when you tear down my or anyone's rel
English

@greatlakessaint Mormon doctrine is written in pencil and has no church fathers to guide it. Which is why it's so contradictory. Christians don't have this problem but Mormons are not Christians.
English

@DavoustBaldPate Nonsense. Utter and complete rubbish.

@HardlyWery @DiscipleFidei That is a waste of time, what happened for people all around the world has changed in every age. You can just fill your mind with vitriol and find anything you want, good or especially bad.
English

@DiscipleFidei I talk about the history of the church all the time...
English

@ScottLeekimbel @Ch_JesusChrist Blah. Blah. Blah. No other church gets so much negative talk except Catholicism.

“As we work together, we are able to reach many more people in need than we ever could reach on our own,” said Bishop W. Christopher Waddell, Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who set the tone for a roundtable discussion in London focused on one clear priority: collaboration.
Senior representatives from leading humanitarian organizations joined Bishop Waddell in Central London on Monday, March 23, 2026, for a discussion. Participants included Sophie Britt of Save the Children International, Euan Crawshaw of ShelterBox and Tala Hassoun of CARE USA.
This was the first of three gatherings in Europe. Visit the link below to learn more:

@Ch_JesusChrist I don't find such posts are appropriate. A few of us never get heard nor asked to contribute.

"I grew up in Oregon in a big, close-knit family. I was naturally introverted and often uncomfortable speaking, especially as a kid. I even had a stutter, and for a long time I doubted whether I had much to offer. But over time, the Lord placed people in my life who showed me that love invites us outward and that growth happens when we step beyond comfort.
"Serving in the Church pushed me to rely on Christ in ways I never had before. Preparing for a mission forced me to face my fears and trust that God could work through my weaknesses. I learned that the Lord does not wait for us to be perfect before He uses us. He calls us as we are and strengthens us as we go.
"Easter reminds me why that matters. Because Christ lives, change is real. Weakness can become strength. Fear does not have the final word. Through the Savior, I have felt power beyond my own and peace I could not create by myself.
"Today, I serve on a stake council and work in a career that requires me to speak and connect with people daily. I am still growing, but I know now that when I rely on Christ, He makes me equal to what He asks of me. Because of the Resurrection, I trust His timing, His purposes, and His perfect awareness of each of us." — William #GreaterLove

@mrdidster @BeatlesArchive2 Obviously, George is smoking seeing stail cigarette butts. It is no wonder he died and every day of their time together has been chronicled. At 63, I am just tired of everything Beatles, including their music. They weren't gods and they didn't get along.

@consequence This is the core ethos of being Irish. To be Irish is to have kindness and understanding for those less fortunate. It’s woven into us through our history of persecution at the hands of colonial powers.

Conan O'Brien says he has "incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country" after traveling to Ireland and seeing his great-grandfather lived.
"I went back to Ireland and I [saw] a great genealogist who said, 'I found where your great-grandfather’s home was.' The home is gone, but he found the little spot where he lived, near the Galbally Mountains. He said, 'I’ll go there and show it to you,' and I said, 'We’ll do it on camera.'
"I was expecting to have these jokes loaded up; we had props and funny things we were going to do... But I got there, and I did not expect this because I'm not someone who wears my emotions on my sleeve, but I got emotional. It was very powerful.
"This was a very small plot of land. He was a tenant farmer, so it wasn't his. He didn't have money, and he needed to move on because it wasn't working; probably not enough to eat, couldn't sustain. So, he left and went to America, and here I am a couple of generations later.
"What's amazing to me is when you have that experience and you stand there, I have incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country. It takes an entire lifetime to go to a country where, often, people don't speak the language. They have to spend their entire lives just getting things started for the next generation; it's a whole lifetime that you're feeding into this process.
"I was just thinking about this guy, whom I'll never meet, who had to do that. I think I was overcome by the fact that there's a lot of sadness in that story, and in a lot of these stories. People leave not because they think, 'Hey, I just want to go have fun in America.' They leave because they have to."

@Little_Sneezers @golfwaco36 @Ch_JesusChrist You have an interesting, twisted view about history. Mild, meek and learned debate goes a long way. The Branch Davidian Compound was deeply troubled. Was it alright what Jonestown did, especially to a lawmaker?
English

@golfwaco36 @Ch_JesusChrist Where were they when Israel slaughtered Palestinians? Where was the church as our own citizens get harmed by immigrants? I guess empathy is only limited to someone smashing a truck into an occult building.

The following statement was released by the United States Northeast Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands with all people of faith who face violence because of their beliefs. Having experienced a similar attack in nearby Grand Blanc, Church members express their love, support, and deep concern for all who are affected by today’s act of violence at a synagogue in West Bloomfield. Houses of worship should be sanctuaries of peace, prayer, and community. We pray for healing, comfort, and peace for all who are suffering.”

@Little_Sneezers @Ch_JesusChrist Word salad. I have my real face posted while responding to Little Sneezers. I am one of those LDS and the terrible things people are doing for religion and ethnic cleansing will be punished.
English

@Ch_JesusChrist Why do they bother with these statements? Nothing happens, may as well be word salad.

@tonyiommi @gibsonguitar Tony, happy birthday! I loved your first Black Sabbath album and everything with Ronnie James Dio. Take care of yourself and keep rocking!

@richtrue10 @BuffaloBills Let us hope so. If the Patriots can lose to the Bills and a few more, it's more fun!
English

@BuffaloBills From the other perspective, do you think any team looks at the Bills on their schedule and thinks that's an easy W? I don't think so. Maybe the Patriots think that, but they're going to be shocked at how hard their season is going to be.
