After a complaint on May 23 and a subsequent investigation, Packers RB Josh Jacobs was arrested this morning and booked into Brown County Jail on five charges: battery/domestic abuse, criminal damage to property/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct/domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.

Yes..yes you can. Violent crime isn’t a socioeconomic issue. Poor kids stealing food, selling some weed, stealing shit from cars is normal in a big city and you’re never going to stop it…car jackings, armed robbery, mob action, jewelry store smash and grabs can absolutely be thwarted if you let police and more importantly MAKE JUDGES do their jobs. It’s not a badge of honor of how tough you are surviving public transportation or walking through a dangerous neighborhood…Chicago will still be the wonderful diverse amazing city it is if you get tougher on violent crime in fact it will help those poorer children and teens who want to make a better life for themselves have a chance.

When you’re building a multi billion dollar stadium, asking for millions upon millions in tax concessions, and you own a franchise valued at 8 billion…probably should be willing to eat the $100,000 + study cost lol.
I’ll agree all day that Illinois is a business prohibitive state with decades of poor leadership but the Bears hold the majority of the blame at this point on the stadium saga…it’s been mismanaged in nearly every facet

Fans looking to blame #DaBears about the traffic study not being done at this point aren’t fully understanding… A traffic study is going to cost a minimum of $100,000 and could be upwards of $500,000+. Furthermore, most jurisdictions won’t accept data that’s 1 to 2 years old. It’s a good thing they didn’t do the study early in the process since it has taken IL over 3 years to finally make a push to even talk about property tax certainty. Which then points to the why would they pay for an extensive traffic study when there has been so much uncertainty surrounding the Bears stadium site in Arlington Heights? The Bears aren’t blameless in this situation but the bigger fault still falls on the politicians (both sides) who refused to take this seriously for too long in an attempt to blackmail the Bears into covering a Soldier Field renovation debt that isn’t even their burden to bear.
