@TheBigBroTea I will ask my CD friends who cast reality, but when I cast The Real World the performers were paid a stipend for their story rights, now I know they are all paid more of an episodic salary...

I mean I’m sure their contracts have something in them saying the season may not air and they can’t be sued. But on a side note, last I read the contestants on The Bachelorette don’t get paid, so they are literally only doing the show for the exposure to launch influencer careers 😭

@zackpeter no zack, casting director of many years here, no such thing as getting paid after something airs...performers are paid for their time of shooting and at that time...only thing paid after are residuals, which these performers would not be getting as they are not union performers.
