Representatives from the @NIHRglobal and @DHSCgovuk visited @CLEAN(Air)Africa study site Mukuru kwa Njenga Primary School in Nairobi #Kenya and had a first-hand experience of #Airpollution, energy and food security problems from cooking with firewood 🧵

We are delighted that @MOH_Kenya has publicly announced the establishment of the KEMRI/ @LivUni Air Pollution Centre of Excellence, @CLEANAirAfrica. The ACE Hub will be integral to efforts in 🇰🇪 and East Africa tackling Household Air Pollution and associated diseases #WHA76

During air pollution prevention training, @CLEANAirAfrica provides community field visits. Today, the team visited a school where @nancy_chebichii led an impromptu community conversation with the head teacher. Manuscript rejected after 3 months because the journal couldn’t find ONE single reviewer. I hear this is an increasingly common issue across journals. Academics, if we’re not supporting each other to move our fields forward, what are we even doing? @AcademicChatter
