Promoting healthier environments in #Rwanda🇷🇼 @WHO held a multi-sectoral capacity building workshop for @RwandaHealth, @rwandastandards @RwandaFDA, @UNRwanda & others on the @WHO BAR-HAP tool to assess interventions for cleaner cooking and reduce household air pollution.

@MinofHealthUG officials met today with the @CLEANAirAfrica @Lung_Institute team to discuss the training materials for the Community Household Air Pollution Prevention Programme (CHAP-PP) in #Uganda, supporting transition to clean cooking for health.

Our evaluation of #schools converting to #cleancooking comprises #airpolllution monitoring of school kitchens, catering staff and learners. Students in #Rwanda are eager to wear our measuring equipment and to learn about the health damaging effects of kitchen smoke.

CLEAN-Air Africa has now trained 2,500 instructors across Kenya. These instructors will go on to train 120,000 CHWs, with the aim of reaching Kenya’s entire population.

On May 8th 2024, #Tanzania launched its National Clean Cooking Energy Strategy. With a massive TZS 4.6 trillion investment, it targets to reach 80% adoption of #cleancooking energy from 10% today for households by 2034. Schools, colleges, and prisons will also be converted. #SDG7

Nearly 300 million people need to gain access to cleaner cooking each year to 2030 to achieve universal access goals this decade. The solutions needed to do this are low-cost & all commercially available today. Read more 👉 iea.li/3JPTTdX

The most beautiful way to launch the @LivUni @MamaDoingGood and @CLEANAirAfrica household air pollution prevention program (TABLE-HAP) with 2,200 women’s table banks in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya.

Raising population awareness is needed to address 23,000 lost lives in Kenya each year. @MOH_Kenya aim to train 130,000 Community Health Promoters to promote behavior change under Universal Health Coverage.

The initiative, endorsed by @MOH_Kenya, will raise awareness of HAP, health and prevention through clean energy for 16,000 @MamaDoingGood Table Banks across Kenya as part of @SDG7.
