I've been informed that the man in custody for Ann Widdecombe's murder is allegedly an active member of a "mainstream left-wing political party." It has further been alleged that the suspect was motivated by Widdecombe's conservative views on gender identity. Shocking if true.

@RuairiAodh @yorks_dpressed @theiaincameron No matter what you say, the Ireland is part of the British isles archipelago. The Greek explorer Pytheas referred to the islands as the Pretannic Isles. The Romans also referred to them as “Megale Britannia” and “Mikra Britannia”. The geography supersedes recent politics.

How come in football and rugby, England, Scotland, and Wales compete separately? But in the Olympics they join forces and compete as Great Britain? And in the latter case, why do they compete as Great Britain instead of the UK? What if a great athlete is from Northern Ireland?
