@RinKarigani Roguelike is when it's a fresh run every time. Roguelite is when there's meta-progression like in Hades getting bonus stats and stuff.

Okay question for y'all; Is there really a discernible difference between Roguelike and Roguelite? I feel like one's got outside progression to curb difficulty and the other is start from scratch every time but TBH I use the 2 words interchangeably

Is “highschool” drama occurring on a much smaller scale in WoW? (or other MMOs for that matter) I keep seeing this, but every MMO I’ve played in the last decade and a half has had “highschool drama” because humans will human.

Unpopular Opinion: Modern shonen is objectively better than the entire “Big Three” except One piece. Naruto and Bleach combined don’t have the writing, animation, or cultural impact of what’s dropping right now.

@KZXcellent I've played with them back in the day and it was a much more doable thing when 1. It was a more naturally formed group and 2. Most of the mechanics in the game were stack/spread/in/out. It's a different game and a group that plays together for a very different reason now.

Reading the NEST group in FFXIV had a bunch more people leaving it and its not too surprising. I remember liking a lot of their videos during Heavensward but I think "Comedic videos progging high-level MMO raids" is the most volatile content concept maybe ever?

@KingScarletYGO It's generally an issue of people lying about which bracket they're playing, skipping steps and stuff to make the game go faster, deck designs with no real win con, but if you're actually just wanting to sit and play with friends then it's a great format.

Magic players: is Commander actually as bad as people say it is online, or is this your Genesys format where people who don’t even play it pretend it’s the worst thing imaginable? Like, do the bracket systems not help play the style you prefer? I wanna play

@ToonHive Inaki is such a great dude but damn thats a terrible pick. Luffy is the character that you play and oda choose you to play his character. Also onepiece is just better than dragon ball statistically. I do believe he should have said luffy just outta respect for oda

When I was working on DSR, I gave it everything: my experience, skills, knowledge, and literally triple the work hours of most people. To truely move people, that level of dedication is essential. ​I’m in that exact same zone right now. While DSR was hardcore content, beastmaster is designed for everyone. Please wait and see. After this, I'll take my daughters to Disneyland. And then I'll play Crimson desert.

This is incredible! A SECOND major patch in just as many weeks adding tons of player-requested features, QOL and adjustments... Wild to see what these devs are doing. Can't wait to check this out when I'm back on the 4th! Ok. Now back to vacationing. 😁

@matola_10 Long games to journalists are like comedy movies to critics. They're really not designed for them. A journo has to get through a ton of game in as little time as possible to begin writing their review and they won't have the time to really pay attention or try things out.

@30SecondYou @MightyKeef I avoided all guides for the first about 50 hours of playing and just kept noticing it, found the line of the ringleaders gear as a result. I've been looking at some stuff, but it really hasn't changed anything for me yet.

@Jonnysource @MightyKeef I have a genuine question, rock placements for waterfalls and being able to stab through them, is that mentioned ANYWHERE? I don’t see it in the guides, is it a note or something or do you know about it from someone else mentioning it?

Crimson Desert has terrible puzzle design and quest structure, at a fundamental level. Don't let people gas light you with the low IQ response of "You need yellow paint". The game is fun but has objectively terrible flaws and should be discussed, to make the game better.

@MightyKeef Okay, gonna be a bit mean here. BotW's puzzles were designed for children to be capable of solving. I get the comparisons, but to me, Crimson Desert's puzzles are just meant for an older audience. They have things like the rock placements for waterfalls, symbols on walls, etc.

They tried too much to be like Breath of the Wild, which had damn near perfect puzzle structure. But in BOTW, there is always subtle context to what the puzzle is about, without holding your hand. Crimson desert just doesn’t understand that.
