@monstroso I tend to prefer cover versions of her songs - judy collins or glen campbell Both Sides Now, Nazereth This Flight Tonight for example. She peaked around 1974 for me. Then again i also liked The Higsons' not-Joni-song cover of Music To Watch Girls By..!
I’ve really tried with Joni Mitchell. She’s incredibly talented and I can see why people love her so much. But she just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe it’s because I never pay attention to lyrics.

@AlisonMoyet@Twickets I refuse to buy secondary tickets and always will. In Spain you used to have to claim your tickets on site by showing credit card and ID. That stopped it dead. Now tickets are emailed its a lot easier to get round that sort of thing sadly...
It’s distressing to see innumerable touting sites and chancers buy up face value gig tickets to sell to fans for exorbitant profit. Dont get fleeced. Let ‘em keep ‘em. I’d rather play to empty rooms than have you shafted. Legislation is paramount.
@Twickets is your friend.
@Mike_Batt Pet Sounds is 36 mins and Sgt Pepper 40ish so it falls quite nicely between those. Beethovens 5th symphony is around the same so if it was good enough for him...?😇
Who thinks a new 37/38 minute symphony recorded by the LSO is enough on a CD? Who doesn't? (Old-school classical pal says it's not enough value), but my point is that, if perhaps a 60 minute string quartet or electronic minimalist piece is deemed sufficient, - those things cost relatively little to produce. "75 piece orchestra plays new 37 min piece at top studio" (if it's any good) is surely at least equivalent in value to a longer CD by 4/5 players? The alternative is to include other (previously released) "classical" pieces from my past with it to deflect "length-as-value" criticism, but to me that defocusses from the main piece. Opinions welcome. Remember CD is still a valid classical format.
