12 years ago I walked into @itvwestcountry as an aspiring journalist with absolutely no idea how to make tv news. This evening I hang up my microphone as the main presenter, pack away my makeup and hand back my pass. What a ride. I’ll miss it all but new adventures await Xx

I want to say Thank You to everyone for all your messages of support and generosity. It gives me and my family a huge amount of strength in a time of sadness for us. I will meet this challenge head on. Ultimately I can’t win but I will fight with everything. Hope is not lost.

After 12 amazing years I’ve made the incredibly hard decision to leave my role as main presenter with @itvwestcountry at the end of July. I’ve loved every minute and will miss the incredible team and lovely viewers hugely but the time is right for a new challenge. X
