Today is National Yorkshire Pudding Day - one of our fabulous English customs. What better way to celebrate it than to spend an hour judging Yorkshire Puddings at Stratton Court, here in Cirencester. Winner was, and this was not fixed as they were ‘blind tastings’, @AuraCareLiving’s very own home chef Grace who made a delicious pudding, with just a scattering of herbs and excellent seasoning. Genuinely good competition - but Grace just topped the board. Particular mention to Apprentice Riley, who went slightly off piste with a pudding seasoned with a more Indian flavour, not for me - but super interesting and imaginative. Thank you to @pete_does_care who owns beautiful Stratton Court and hosted us all. Also competing: @chefErodgers Relish Catering, Bakers Arms - Campden (a very close second). Fun couple of hours with the very lively residents who came out to support! Happy National Yorkshire Pudding Day to all those who celebrate it - preferably with a slab of fine British raised roast beef!
