Following the discovery of fresh evidence, we have, a while ago, withdrawn from the prosecution of all the Accused Persons in the case of THE REPUBLIC v HANAN ABDUL-WAHAB ALUDIBA and 4 OTHERS. This is to afford each of the Accused Persons a fair and a more speedy trial in accordance with the Constitution.
Later this afternoon, the last-but-one prosecution witness in the case of THE REPUBLIC v KWABENA ADU-BOAHENE & OTHERS will continue her testimony. A former bank relationship manager and, later, employee of the Accused Persons, this prosecution witness testifies to how the Accused Persons got and spent the monies which we believe they stole from the State.

I'm sure it was incredibly painful to write this letter. Short term, you'll absolutely get roasted by the judge & by everyone. It's a PR nightmare. And yes, you may even get fired.
But by owning responsibility for the mistake and taking the initiative to find *other* unsurfaced mistakes to mitigate them, you take one small step towards earning that trust back.
In my opinion, how you respond when you mess up is a huge sign of whether or not you can be trusted in the future.

#FreePrimaryHealthCare is the latest chapter in Ghana's journey towards universal health coverage, and potentially the most consequential.
My thoughts on the rationale behind the policy and what it adds to the existing @NHIS_Ghana.
Feedback welcome!

At the beginning of the year, I mentioned that one of my projects would be to provide a platform for dispute resolution attorneys, especially young lawyers, to meet and engage with seasoned lawyers, judges, and arbitrators to sharpen their skills. I present to you the Disputes Academy.
The Disputes Academy is a monthly convocation of dispute lawyers focused on interrogating developments in the practice. It brings together young lawyers, judges, arbitrators, and experienced practitioners to engage on jurisprudence and judicial expectations before the Superior Courts and other dispute-resolution fora.
It is a forum through which lawyers gain insight into the reasoning, expectations, and craft of those who shape adjudication. It sharpens advocacy, advances best practices, and reinforces the integrity and efficiency of the judicial process. It equally affords experienced practitioners the opportunity to shape the next generation.
Join the conversations shaping modern dispute practices and position yourself at the forefront of the profession.

Hello All,
I am designing a course syllabus titled “Decolonial Lenses and Ghana’s Legal System”.
I intend to introduce this course on my return to Ghana and, if given an academic position, to teach in any of the law schools.
This is to address a knowledge gap in the legal education system regarding the unreflective learning of rules, laws, and systems that fail to recognize their colonial heritage.
I am inviting you to share with me papers, publications, ideas, or perspectives you expect to see in such a course.
* It is my understanding that no law school in Ghana has yet had such a course.
