This is why I love the AI space at the moment. There is so much room for growth, exploration, and creativity often requiring little in way of financial investment. The space is like an ever evolving playground or sandbox constantly being built in by labs and individuals alike.

Cool stuff: This weekend I vibe-coded an entire multiplayer game built entirely around "prompting", think Minecraft but with prompts! 🤯 It's the first game I've made where my friends and I spent 5 hours straight playing, it was so fun and unique. This map was 100% empty!

@AlexSJacquez Yeah and right now they are fumbling it hard because they are going full "anti" which may be beneficial in the short term but will not be fruitful in the long-term (especially if AI starts to help contribute to advancements in science and medicine).

@nicdunz There are many reasons for this. If they increased limits permanently and then had an influx of users (and not enough compute to support current and new users) it would result in an "Anthropic situation". There is also marketing as many cynics already pointed out too.

People keep sending me this clip of @iamjohnoliver using my tweet as evidence that AI models don’t work well. Just to clear up any confusion, with respect, the tweet was a) taken way out of context and b) extremely outdated. The model in question (4o) is multiple generations old, and was shut down for being too sycophantic. Current models would not have behaved this way. It’s sort of like looking at a Nokia flip phone and saying “this isn’t useful”, when an iPhone exists. John, I’m a fan, and welcome any discussion here. Just want things to be accurate and not misleading!

I'm glad Codex (for Windows) is moving to using in-app updates. Opening Windows store and updating from there is kind of annoying. I never have and never will use Windows store except for updating Codex.
