Thank you, @JordanPods (and @buzzsprout), for mentioning PodMatch in this write-up about getting booked as a podcast guest. It's a really great post... Super helpful. Thank you!! :)

On today's episode of Podcasting Momentum, I talk about podcast marketing mistakes, tips for independent podcasters, and how to stay laser-focused on your podcast's "why". It's a very fun conversation!

@alexsanfilippo8 I’m frustrated for you… but also a little jealous of your mandatory Meta sabbatical.
I hope this gets ironed out soon. What a headache!

Without warning, my Facebook account was completely deleted, and I'm banned from the platform. As someone who has used Facebook since 2005, I was caught off guard by this...
I’ve been back and forth with them to determine what caused my account to be blocked (and whether I could get it back). I don’t use any plugins, AI tools, or VAs, and I don't run any outreach/DM campaigns. I’ve been at a loss. But, finally received word about what caused it.
Turns out, it was my last Facebook post that got me blocked. It’s the same post I shared here on LinkedIn where I talked about the struggle of being a “front-line founder.”
Apparently, the notion that being there for the people you serve is a better way to run a business is offensive to Meta's team. Someone saw it and completely blocked/banned my account.
4 things we can all learn from this:
#1. Social media is rented space; you don't own it. At any time, Facebook or any other platform reserves the right to delete you from their platform. Don’t build your business or brand on any of these platforms!
#2. Even though I'm now banned from Meta, they're still billing me for my verified account with no way to cancel it. As a business owner, make sure you use virtual credit cards to easily sort this kind of thing out!
#3. Standing up for what you believe in and doing the right thing is going to cost you. It’s going to be uncomfortable at times. But it’s 100% worth it to help pave the way for others!
#4. Don’t get mad at it. Find the positive in every negative situation. I think it’s pretty cool that someone high up enough at Facebook not only saw my post, but got so offended by it that they rage-deleted my account. Knowing that even my small reach and voice can reach people who need to hear it (even if they don't receive it) is amazing!
One blessing is that it’s been nice not using Meta products for the past 2 weeks; I’ve reclaimed some of my time... But I do miss my podcasting friends!

This data surprised me.
According to The Creators 2025, nearly twice as many men as women create podcasts
As a woman in podcasting, this hasn’t felt like my experience. Which feels weird to say...but it feels like a good thing!

My biggest takeaway as a content creator from @taylorswift13's appearance on @newheightshow is focus your energy on creative output and fan engagement, anything outside of that is irrelevant to you. 🔥

It's been less than 24 hours since @taylorswift13's podcasting debut.
Around the 1:20 mark, she talks about how people can drain your energy and drive if you let them.
This advice is gold for podcasters like me that give strangers on the internet far too much attention. (🧵)
