There is one community that exemplifies this above all others - and its long term success is inevitable on its current tradjectory. The funny thing is that everyone, including you, deep down at the soul level suspects that this the case because the evidence is overwhelming - self-organised conferences appearing around the world, frequent long form essays being written by community members, hours of dedicated podcast content being made by the community for the community, endless high quality video content and a genuinely engaged, community (one that is doxxed more than any other) that talks, debates and argues at length about where the project is going because they are passionately connected to each other - and this just isn't happening at any comparable scale anywhere else. Yet, most of CT will find a way to deny this reality or find reasons to disqualify it. Its patently obvious why this is the case and it is rooted in all the things that you have correctly identified that are rotten in the space.

I like the idea. But I think YT Algo is smarter than that. Anyone IP watching a video more than once. Is very likely to get diminishing returns in terms of what that view is worth. Good for watch hours and the number of views going up. But probably not super helpful for actually improving the ranking in Algo itself. Think of the thousands of mobile bot farms, playing videos over and over when paid. I'm sure YT can know. A better idea would be to spend time spreading the message on different socials and link to videos etc imo. But I guess it's something you can do with low effort, why not lol.
