@For3verQuan The older generations built nothing to support the suburban/middle class. Combined with the social incentives for this behavior and the social penalties for choosing other this is what you get. You can see this pattern develop in middle/high schoolers in nearly every suburb

I knew niggas like this coming up too. I will always blame black culture for creating dumb niggas like this. A nigga who wasn't raised in the gutter like the rest of us but want to be acknowledged and accepted and wanting to be part of the cool club. He wanted the hoes that only the bad ass street niggas could get, he wanted the clout that the street niggas had, he wanted the low iq brotherhood that the street niggas had, and he wanted to be respected through fear. All because of the culture that is glorified through the women and by his fatherless peers who was raised differently. My cousin was exactly like this nigga and he died 3 years ago in November. He was only 24 years old

@pplsartofbiz Can you speak to surviving a merger? Why do some managers in the acquired company keep their jobs and others let go?

@PresidentAdaeze Nationalism is the single most powerful uniting political factor. Even the African states won’t “center Africa” if it’s not in their national interest.

@LegitTaste Both Assata and Don Cox talked about the real operational failures of the Panthers in their books. Governance was the primary issue.

@MUSICANDBUILDS We have a lost generation. Those who were young adults in the 90’s might be the generation that became disconnected from tradition.

WHY FAMILY REUNIONS ARE NOT AS POPULAR AS THEY USED TO BE IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY My theory is Full integration into American society as part of the reason Americas capitalism system makes Every one super individualistic minded And that makes the value of family Begin to go away over a period of times Traditionally we were always about the village the family but not anymore Now it’s about the individual And that’s what capitalism does to people

Which is more efficient: A boat or a pipeline? A. Boat (VLCC aka Very Large Crude Carrier) Barrels: 2,000,000 Speed: 28 km per hour Cost: $120 million B. Pipeline (Seminole Red Pipeline in Texas, USA) Barrels/day: 200,000 Distance: 644 km Cost: $644 million (16 inch pipeline at $100k/inch-mile estimate) Let's convert that boat into a pipeline and compare the two 644 km / 28 km/h = 23 hours => 1 day Boat has a capacity of 2,000,000 barrels so its barrels/day is 2,000,000/day vs. 200,000/day for the pipeline. Since boats generally only deliver oil 1 way, you need 2 boats, so the total cost will be 2*$120 million = $240 million vs. $644 million for the pipeline, which has 10% the throughput. The 2 boats are 27x as efficient as the pipeline. Kind of a surprising result right? Here's how to get your intuition to accept it: Let's say you want to take a bath but the faucet to the bath is broken. You have two options: A. interconnect a bunch of straws and pump water into the bathtub from your kitchen B. Carry a bucket back and forth from the sink to the bathtub Bucket wins right? Some real world considerations when it comes to building boats vs. pipelines: - Boats always move on flat ground. Pipelines must go up and down. - Pipelines are built elevated from the ground - Pipelines use way more steel than boats, which can use big containers instead of narrow pipes to hold the oil So that's why boats are more efficient than pipelines for moving oil.

@JordenHerr Claiming something that is ancient for self esteem begs the question what has been done since then, anything of note? Beneficial context would be compare the results of those cultures.

@FreedmanJournal That’s a cynical but justifiable perspective. Consider this though. Do Russians have a poor self image? Do Chinese? Do Persians? They all make claim to the former too.

@FreedmanJournal We must remember Negros are half European. We are educated in European/American traditions. So our view of the world is similar. I am not equipped to breakdown why nations make claims to other peoples but it’s a reality that all nations do, despite the irrationality.

@FreedmanJournal It has to do with our relationship the European/American perspective of civilization. Negros cannot confidently claim Rome for obvious reasons, but Egypt is viewed as an equivalent if not better empire.
