I've always loved great sports cities. And I've always been envious of them.
I'm talking about places like Chicago and Boston where the whole city seems to be invested in the local sports scene.
I went to the TD Garden tonight and watched game 2 of the Celtics/6ers.
It was ELECTRIC. Walking to the arena is my favorite part: Green Celtics gear, Bruins jerseys, Red Sox hats, Boston Marathon medals, etc.. it's everywhere! Everyone knows what's going on and everyone cares. Fans sporadically erupt in "let's go Celtics" and other seemingly pre-choreographed chants. Sports.. truly a beautiful thing that brings people together.
I never thought Utah would be that way... but yes - I really think it's turning into one of those great sports cities!! 🙏🏽
Despite the Jazz being far from competitive the last few years, you'll always find a packed Delta Center. LOVE the @utahjazz (and hopeful for the next few years!)
Not a soccer fan by any means, but people seem to love RSL 😅 - and they believe this is a championship team this year.
..And now we have a hockey team that just won its first ever playoff game?! SLC going to be ROCKING on Friday!! @utahmammoth
As a die hard baseball fan and with the MLB looking to expand, this is the final piece of the "great sports city" puzzle. Please, please, please bring MLB to Utah. I'll be your GM. Or Manager. Or starting SS. Or backup bullpen catcher.
