@MayorOfTLH @CityofTLH When will those of us on the southwest side of town be getting our power back?!?!? It’s been 6 days! I have hundreds of dollars in spoiled groceries, no ac, no ability to do laundry, and there is still a knocked down tree making my street a 1-way road.

We know that the financial impact of the damage to our community caused by Friday’s tornadoes is significant. That’s why I’ve been in regular communication with the White House and FEMA to ensure that Tallahassee receives every dollar possible to assist those hardest hit. Earlier today, I was out in the community with FEMA, DEM, and SBA surveying damage that is estimated to be tens of millions of dollars.

@GovRonDeSantis You need to take a serious look at the Tallahassee emergency responses. There is no reason government and college campuses should have gotten power before homes. No one will be in those buildings all weekend but people will be in their homes. This is a BIG problem.

FSU just cancelled classes until Thursday bc of Hurricane Idalia. Thank goodness. When FSU cancels classes, nothing terrible tends to happen. It’s only when FSU keeps campus open that the weather takes a turn for the worst. Just how the cookie tends to crumble 🍪
