Stunning and brave. Now do it from Sunday, September 13 until Sunday the 20th, so you miss Wolverine and half of you aren't at Gamescom. Otherwise it's pretty convenient timing. I want to respect and support this cause, but nonsense like this is making it hard to do so. A shame.

I'm all for physical games and people fighting for them but if you actually want Playstation to go back on their decision the best thing you can do is convince others to BUY physical games themselves boycotts like this don't actually work and are mostly performative 🤷‍♂️

A temporary blackout is just performative. I get we want quick resolve but THIS won't come fast. If you want real change. Don't buy digital games. Not even one. Never again. Start by buying Wolverine + Tokon physically. Don't buy GTA 6. Make the PS6 flop. That's the real test.

Hay algo que PlayStation ya ha conseguido romper, y no es el formato físico. Desde que anunció el fin de los discos, incluso las noticias que antes celebrábamos con ilusión ahora tienen un regusto amargo. Como la fecha del God of War: Sí, está bien... pero ya no emociona igual.

⚠️ EL "APAGÓN MASIVO" DE PLAYSTATION 🔵 La comunidad de PS5 ha dicho basta. El grupo de preservación Does It Play? está organizando un boicot de 7 días (del 23 al 30 de agosto) donde piden a todos los usuarios que no inicien sesión en sus consolas ni compren ningún juego. ¿El objetivo? Hundir drásticamente la métrica de "Jugadores Activos", que es la estadística principal con la que Sony mide su éxito. La futura muerte del formato físico ha sido la gota que ha colmado el vaso, pero en el comunicado dejan claro que el cabreo viene de lejos: protestan por el cierre de estudios como Bluepoint, el abandono de las PS VR2, el olvido de sagas míticas como Sly Cooper y la obsesión fallida por los juegos como servicio. La guerra por la propiedad de los videojuegos acaba de pasar de las quejas en redes sociales a la acción directa.

This may sound controversial to some, but I believe the video game industry is overdue for real change. Too many companies have become driven purely by greed, and that starts at the top. We need new leadership standards possibly even a law requiring that the people who run game companies must be gamers first, and business executives second. The logic is simple: when the person in charge genuinely understands and prioritizes the player experience, the company’s decisions will put the consumer first instead of maximizing profit at all costs. If you are not a Gamer first when running a gaming company you have no place in the industry.
