@herchosenpath One kid had a video of a fight that broke out in a bathroom that same day on. A Hispanic girl was watching a Spanish telenovela. In class. She'd ignore me when I asked her to please put the phone away; I had to call the office to send someone. Schools need to ban phones.

@herchosenpath I've subbed middle school. Have had to ask kids to put their cellphones away because they were openly watching porn with the volume way up so the whole class can hear. I've had a squad of girls tell me to let them finish recording a video for TikTok. During class.

I actually think it's a good idea. Plenty of generations didn't have a cell phone in school. They'll be fine for 6 hours.

@ClipsXComment I get it, but there are better ways. My 3 boys sit up straight anywhere, and I didn't have to do this. The key is starting them when they're young. Don't be forgiving. Always ask them to sit up straight, then it gets to a point when all you have to do is look. My kids know...

I think this is an excellent idea. This allows parents to see what is being done in the classroom and it allows teachers to show parents when their children are unruly. Thoughts?

@TheeAquarian28 @tragic_endings_ but it’s not oppression because it’s not often an institutional thing, restricting peoples bodily autonomy can lead to oppression but it does not automatically make it so. if we use your line of argument, we could say vaccinations are a form of oppression when they aren’t.

I find it interesting that everyone accepts it as normal if straight women says penises and testicles are ugly but when men say the same about vaginas (which in my opinion look much worse, lets be for real) they are immediately accuses of being either gay or hating women

@TheeAquarian28 @tragic_endings_ oppression is restricting people’s freedom, opportunities and rights. i agree it is restricting people’s freedom to choose what happens to their body. but that’s not distinctly oppression. it could be argued that it’s a form of sexual assault. but not oppression.

@TheeAquarian28 @tragic_endings_ circumcision reduces risk of infections, for both person and sexual partners, as it’s easier to clean. there are benefits, just like vaccines. granted it may not save lives but still.

They do not remove any part of the body, and they’re recommended by every respected medical organization, unlike male infant #circumcision.
