Nairobi cannot continue carrying the full weight of Kenya’s political and economic life. If we are serious about restoring order and unlocking real growth, we must take bold action relocate the seat of government. Moving it to a strategic location like Mosiro in Kajiado County or Isiolo would ease congestion in Nairobi while opening up the rest of the country to meaningful development. Kajiado, in particular, presents an opportunity to expand economic activity beyond Nairobi and stimulate growth in other regions. As long as everything remains concentrated in Nairobi, we will keep facing the same cycle of congestion, migration pressure, political protest and short-term fixes. Relocating the capital is not just an idea it is the step Kenya needs to grow sustainably and inclusively.

When you buy such a car, you basically start paying daily rent for the engine 😜 Fuel leo, service kesho, gearbox later, oil changes every few months… pole pole the car starts owning your wallet. If someone had added another 1.5M and gone electric ⚡️, the money saved from fuel and maintenance alone could comfortably service the loan. Here is my story 👇🏿 I have already done 44,000 km on my EV odometer. So far, the EV has saved me approximately KSh 850,000 compared to running a normal petrol/diesel SUV. That translates to roughly: ◾️KSh 19 saved per kilometer. If the same trend continues: 300,000 km × KSh 19 = KSh 5.7 Million saved 😳 Meaning by 300,000 km, the fuel and maintenance savings alone would have almost paid for the whole EV. Meanwhile: ◾️No engine oil changes ◾️No gearbox service ◾️Minimal maintenance ◾️Only changed front tyres 🛞 That’s when you realize an EV is basically a giant electronic device on wheels ⚡️ This is why I keep saying the Government should aggressively remove taxes on EVs. Less fuel imports = less pressure on dollars = stronger shilling stable food prices and lowered inflation caused by unstable fuel ⛽️ prices . Sometimes I wonder… why are we still thinking about building refineries while the world is planning for 2060 electric mobility? 😳
