EVERY SINGLE JOB SHOULD PAY A LIVING WAGE. If the work matters enough to hire someone to do it, that worker should be able to afford a safe comfy home, fresh nutritious food, a fun vacation sometimes and enough left to save.
YES EVERY SINGLE JOB, INCLUDING YOURS.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani doubles down and says he may arrest Benjamin Netanyahu on American soil, even after President Trump said it would not happen.
Mamdani says the International Criminal Court arrest warrant should be taken seriously.
"He is the architect of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza."
🇺🇸Reporter: "You serious about arresting Netanyahu?"
🇺🇸Mamdani: "100% Yes."
🇺🇸Reporter: "Trump said he won’t."
🇺🇸Zohran: Because he has an ICC warrant for war crimes. Trump can protect him. I won’t. I follow the law. No war criminals."
Zohran Mamdani is fire 🔥
🚨Wow! A man and his family go to a Morgan Wallen concert and some guy relieved himself on them😱
—Naturally he calls the police, but when they arrive they tell him they cannot arrest this man due to Maryland laws.
—He says, “so a man can pull out his____urinate on me, my brother and my niece and there’s nothing you can do?”
— instead of arresting the perpetrator, the police gave his info to the victim saying he could file a report later or press charges.
Really, is this where we are at?
Is there nothing these police officers could’ve done?
@__scottsaunders What interest would the USA have in adding hydration breaks, they are hosting they aren’t receiving the ad revenue, fifa gets that. Good job trying to blame America
Really glad we’re getting a stinker of a final in front of a massive US audience
Maybe they’ll lose interest and won’t Americanise the shit out of the sport ever again
@wendy1704 For everyone who loves football, never let Argentina ever be in a World Cup final again; they were horrible, created nothing and were poor cheating losers.
@JoshAda423787@Primary_Pianist It actually doesn't hurt our feelings. You missed the sarcasm entirely. Calvinism dulls the senses that way, doesn't it?
This World Cup has been horrible. Four quarters is horrible. The corruption is horrible. This final is horrible. Half time is going to be horrible.
Please can the USA never host a World Cup again. They have their own sports, which are very fine. They do not need to ruin ours.
It's actually comforting that President Joseph Fielding Smith and President David O McKay both believed that the Priesthood Restrictions didn't apply to members of mixed races. The notion that up to 1/8 black ancestry could disqualify someone always bothered me as a young person prior to 1978. The 1/8 ancestry measure was part of southern chattel slavery "standards" prior to 1865. That was always disgusting.
When Joseph Fielding Smith was an Apostle, a young man needed to speak to him. Why? He found out he had African DNA in his family tree. More than just “one drop” which was the policy at the time; even just one drop was an exclusion from the priesthood. This young man was active in the church, served a mission, and was about to get married in the temple. He also had a brother who was a Stake President, another who was a Bishop, and another in the high council. When he told Elder Smith this news, Elder Smith told this young man to tell his fiancee that there wouldn’t be a temple wedding because “our doctrine is very clear on that.”
After the Church meeting ended that Elder Smith was attending in this young man’s area, he asked to speak to this young man again, privately.
He then told the young man to keep the matter to himself. He said, “all of these [men] have been married in the temple and have participated in Church ordinances.” That this news “would ruin their lives.” Additionally, he informed this young man not to tell his fiancee or even his bishop. He continued, “this is something between [you] and the Lord, and if the Lord ratifies the sealing in the Temple, who are we to question it?” Arrington diary, July 17, 1962
@jkimballcook@BlackBlessedLDS The ban is the issue. No sound doctrine from a restored church would have such a discriminatory ban to start with. Makes people realize your leaders like Brigham young were just made up charlatans
@BunchaSheeple@codylschuldt@GunnelsWarren How much is too much. Who decided that? How much do you make, let’s tax you more. The government and poor people need it so you should be happy to contribute more
@codylschuldt@GunnelsWarren Bullshit he earned it. He earned it in conjunction with tens of thousands of employees, countless tens of billions of dollars of infrastructure that we all share. The idea that any man on earth needs more than a billion dollars is obscene.
If California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax wins, Sergey Brin, worth $276 billion, would owe $13.8 billion.
He’d still be worth $262 billion & healthcare would be saved for millions.
Instead, he says he fled to NV & is spending $82 million against it.
Brin is the face of greed.
@GunnelsWarren Or look at it differently. Maybe California sucks at spending the money it has, let’s degenerates rule the streets and with another 13 billion nothing would be done.
@joshnaa2gez@PetGorilla Yeah no if he he is your living prophet it is really interesting how God’s opinion on this changes. Much of the early church were black. You don’t see the idiosyncracy?
Sergey Brin is worth $276 billion.
He could save healthcare for 3 million people.
Instead, he’s spending $82 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax.
He’d rather see low-income Americans die & suffer than pay his fair share of taxes.
That is a moral obscenity.
@Primary_Pianist No but worshipping the one true God is a requirement. There is no plurality of Gods, God is one. Also the perversion of constantly new revelation of settled matters and a prophet that convinced his followers to give up their wives to him so they can receive his sexual blessing
Saturday is a special day,
It’s the day we get ready for Sunday.
We trim our nails, we shampoo our hair,
Then log onto X and discover Nicaea is apparently the entrance exam for heaven.
🚨 President Donald Trump on Thomas Tuchel decisions: “You have a great player in England, who I played golf with, he is Harry Kane...
…and maybe England MADE A MISTAKE when they put him as a defensive player”.
“They took a lead and they put their best player at defending?”
