An AI-generated film adaptation of "The Odyssey" has been announced. “Odysseus: The Fall” is a 135-minute AI-generated movie from AI film studio Fountain 0 and director Ash Koosha. The movie will be available to rent or buy on Fountain 0’s website later this summer. “I’ve been just obsessed with it since I was a kid,” Koosha said in an interview. “One of the things that really drove me towards this story was the character of Odysseus himself, and my take on it — the feeling that I’ve had over the years reading different takes on it, and different translations — and my take was something that I just wanted to tell. And recently, when we did the first film, I realized this is the best time given the public discourse that exists out there as well.” variety.com/2026/film/news…

My favourite Sam Neill thing is when he just rips into that little kid at the beginning of Jurassic Park who doesn't actually think dinosaurs are that scary. He's personally offended that a 12 year old doesn't respect Raptors. Correctly btw. RIP

Albanese's major speech on AI tomorrow will describe the technological change as on par with the renewable energy transition, but is not expected to outline long-awaited copyright reforms to protect creative industries - with discussions still in train theguardian.com/australia-news…

Angus Taylor has today come out attacking One Nation instead of going after the real enemy, Labor. Angus has played right into the hands of Anthony Albanese. While the Liberal leader is telling voters how bad One Nation is, he’s quietly adopting One Nation policies. Stop running scared and desperate, Angus. My priority remains focused on getting this country back on track. #PaulineHanson #OneNation #AngusTaylor #RunningScared #Labor #Liberal

Back home in Adelaide, we asked Socceroo Awer Mabil, one of the squad’s many refugee success stories, about suggestions Australia is a monocultural society, rather than a multicultural one. He asked if could swear, before declaring “It’s all bullshit.” “Australia is the best country in the world and the Socceroos are the best representation of that. If anyone’s trying to divide that, they’re probably not Australians themselves, in a sense. You don’t pick where you’re born, you don’t pick the colour of your skin. You choose to be a good human being. Some people, they choose against being good. That’s their own problem. Then they’re missing out on what others can bring. That’s what multiculturalism does. It brings other flavours to the table, instead of just one thing. It’s many journeys, with one jersey.” @7NewsAdelaide

🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card. FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee. FIFA sources insist White House influence could not affect the decision due to the powers contained in Article 27 and the independent nature of the disciplinary panel.
